The Praja Rajya Party president K Chiranjeevi said that two representatives of the party would attend te eight party meeting called by the Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram on the issue of separate Telanagana in New Delhi on January 5. He said that the future course of action for unified Andhra would be decided after the outcome of the New Delhi meeting was known, he said. He was speaking a meeting of party workers, media persons and intellectual meet on Sunday, he said that his party stood by its commitment to an integrated State and attacks on his properties and other acts of Telanagana leaders would not deter him.

Chiranjeevi rejected the contention of some that he had changed his stand on Telanagana and his decision was in deference to the wishes of the people and pointed out, now the people were leading the agitation and the leaders would have to follow them. He said that the TRS had got only 10 MLA seats and just 2 MP seats in the last election and failed to field to field its candidates in the elections to the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. That was its political strength of the TRS which had been agitating for a separate State, he commented.

At the intellectual meet, he was requested to highlight the backwardness of Uttarandhra at the meeting in New Delhi. North Coastal districts were worse off when compared to most of the districts in Telanagana. District unit PRP president, D Srinivas, senior PRP leaders K Vidyadhar Rao, Kimidi Kalavenkta Rao, Party MLA Vanga Gita and other accompanied Chiranjeevi.
