Pro-Telangana activists attack Allu Aravind's office

December 27, 2009
Hyderabad

A few dozens of youth led by a former Praja Rajyam Party leader Dilip from Nakrekal, converged at the premises of Geeta Arts belonging to the Party general secretary Allu Aravind and tried to convert it into the office of 'United Youth Forum for Telanagana'. At around 1 pm on Sunday, nearly a group of persons drove up to Geeta Arts in Jubilee Hills and climbing over the gate charged up the single storeyed building and attached a banner 'United Youth Forum for Telanagana' inscribed in Telugu.

They shouted pro-Telangana slogans for about 15 minutes before being removed by the police. Almost at the same time, the Jubilee Hills police, led by Inspector K Narasinga Rao rushed to the sport and brought the situation under control and more than two dozen persons were taken into custody.

Meanwhile, Allu Aravind dismissed the incident, describing it as the handiwork of a disgruntled element who was earlier with the PRP and changed his stance because it now advocated a unified State. He condemned the incident.

It may be recalled PRP leader Chirajeevi has clarified that the party will support for a united andhra and has submitted resignation for his MLA post. He even toured the coastal andhra region to gather support for the same.
