Chiranjeevi welcomes newcomers with clean record into politics

The Praja Rajam Party president Chiranjeevi asserted on Thursday that it is high time that new blood enters politics as new comers with a clean record could alone bring about a desirable change for betterment of the society.

Chiranjeevi addressed meetings during his road show at Chapadu, Mydukur, Khajipet and Chennur on the second day of his yatra in Kadapa district and said that a real change would improve the lives of the common man and the middle class. He reiterated his resolve to root out political corruption that jeopardized social interests and called the people to welcome a change for setting up a new order.

A tragic incident took place Mydukur road show. One, Dastagiri, died after he came into contact with live wires. The youth who was perched on a three storeyed building got electrocuted and fell to death on Badvel road in Mydukur town. Three others sustained injuries in the incident. The injured were rushed to hospital and the condition of one was state to be critical.

Chiranjeevi is going on his third phase of Praja Ankita Yatra covering four politically significant districts in the region. Earlier, he received a rousing public response at Anantapur and Pulivendula, the home constituency of Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
