Praja Rajyam Party president hits back Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy

November 14, 2008
Hyderabad

The Praja Rajyam Party president, Chiranjeevi on Friday said that unlike those who focussed on development in their native constituencies and districts, he was for the alround development of the State because he had affinity for people across the State. He was sharply reacting to the criticism from the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his son Jagan Mohan Reddy in the recent asking him what he had done for Mogalturu, the native of Chiranjeevi in West Godavari district.

He admitted that he could not spend long time in the Mogalturu though he was born there and said that this was because his father was a government servant and posted elsewhere. Speaking with media persons on Friday morning after participating in a Children's Day programme at the party office, he avoided taking the name of the Chief Minister directly but pointed out that he would not be like those leaders.

The PR party president would enter Kadapa district and Pulivendula Assembly constituency via Tadipatri after completing his road shows in Anathapur district on November 19. It may be recalled Chiranjeevi announced the Praja Ankitha Yatra Phase III recently after his successful completion of the tour to Coastal Andhra and Telangana regions.
